Product exec by day, job search rebel by necessity. Let’s change the game together.
I’ve worn a lot of hats in my life—developer, recruiter, executive product leader, accidental therapist to job seekers in crisis—and none of them were particularly stylish. But they’ve all shaped who I am and why I’m here.
I started my career at Ernst & Young and spent years writing Java code, building things that made businesses smarter and people’s lives a little easier. Then came the 2007 layoff, and like so many others, I pivoted—landing in recruiting at Modis. There, I got a front-row seat to the emotional rollercoaster of the job hunt. Spoiler alert: it's less "adventure movie," more "emotional survival series."
I saw talented, accomplished people unravel under the weight of rejection and imposter syndrome. So I built a group for executive job seekers—not to tell them to “lean in,” but to remind them they were already powerful. I taught them how to tell their stories, own their value, and navigate a system that wasn’t designed with compassion in mind. Those conversations became the backbone of the books I wrote in 2012: Identifying Your Dream Job, Alternatives to the Apply Button, and Network Like a Pro.
Eventually, the siren song of product development called me home. Since 2013, I’ve led complex software portfolios, managed global teams, and helped grow businesses from $100M to $150M. I’ve been a Director of Product, a business unit leader, and a founder of a stealth startup where I got to dream big and build smarter (even if the funding didn’t come through this time). I’ve advised investors and execs, spoken at conferences, and mentored hundreds of technologists along the way.
So, yes—I know tech. I know business. And I know humans.
This platform was born out of necessity and love. Love for people. For purpose. For possibility. And necessity because, well… the current job market is like trying to win a sword fight with a wet noodle.
I’ve seen too many brilliant humans—especially senior professionals—feel discarded, demoralized, and downright invisible. And I couldn’t unsee it.
So I built this space for people like us: those who are still standing, still searching, still showing up. It’s part resource hub, part pep talk dispenser, part battle cry. Whether you’re deep in the trenches or cheering from the sidelines, you’re welcome here.
I’m still actively searching for my next executive-level Product role—Director, VP, or CPO depending on the fit. Most recently, I’ve specialized in Platform Product Management, especially in the realms of developer tools, CI/CD, application security, and AIOps. But let’s be clear: I’m industry agnostic. Every new role I’ve taken on has been in a completely different industry, with a completely different set of problems—and I’ve loved every single one.
That’s the magic for me. Not the tech stack. Not the buzzwords. The problems and the people.
Whether it’s customers, business stakeholders, engineers, support, or sales—I want to hear them, understand them, and help them win. I’m a bridge builder, a systems thinker, and a relentless champion of making things better for everyone involved. I dive deep, connect dots, and stay rooted in outcomes that matter.
So yes—if you know of a role where I can bring that energy, empathy, and execution to the table, I’d love to hear from you.
Until then, I’ll keep showing up here—writing, mentoring, and turning career chaos into clarity. Because no matter what job title I hold, I’m always going to help people get unstuck.
